de The first version of this program was created for a college who was complaining about the impossibility of getting on the Internet because his ISP was constantly overloaded and no lines open - at least not when he dialed. To make dialing a more thrilling experience, we created a program you can see in the screenshot below.

Usage

To get started fast, all you need to do is select a DUN Entry, and if it was dialed before with RAS, username and password are retrieved automatically (otherwise simply enter this information). Click Dial and you are all set.

Dial2TheMax dials with no timeout between tries, therefore it is very fast. In case the default of ten retries doesn't meet your needs, you can choose a number between 1 and 10,000 (should be sufficient for even the toughest traffic congestion). You may cancel the dial-in process at any time by clicking the Abort button.

Extended Features

In case your ISP (or telco) disconnects you, dial2TheMax can start an automatic redial immediately - without any user intervention. Simply check the box When connection is terminated, redial. You have to select it before you start dialing!

A feature I like most is Start application after connection is established. It allows you to start an application after dial-in has succeeded; for example, you can register your new IP address with dyndns.org, or start some other registrations that are necessary. You can browse for the application using the ... button.

Dial2TheMax 2.02 is distributed as freeware. Please note that version 2.0 supports Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000. Users of Windows 95 can download version 1.1 instead.

Version 2.0 uses the Windows Installer Service for its setup program. Anyone having installed either Office 2000 or Windows 2000, already has this service on their machine. In case you don't have any of these, please download and install the appropriate Installer version:

• Windows 9x (1430 KB)
• Windows NT (1436 KB)

Now that you have all prerequisites on your machine, download the Installer for Dial2TheMax 2.0:

• Installer dial2TheMax 2.03 (158 KB)

By installing the application you agree to be bound by the License Agreement.
